“The druids began to use the hollow tree to commune with their god. The water energy coursing through its bark allowed the tree to act as a conduit between them and their god, breaking down the barriers that separated them.”
For this project, I initially wanted to combine these calcium pools from Pamukkale, Turkey with cambodian jungles but I later decided to focus the idea down to the base of a giant tree with these pools.
I chose the #6 and #10 thumbnails to bring to a full value range. I liked the vastness of #6 and liked the tree in #10 but I felt I could do better with the composition.
This final thumbnail was created from combining thumbnail #7 with the tree from #10 and heavy adjustments.
I tested out some different lighting scenarios and I liked the blue hour thumbnail most because it would be easiest to show the magical glowing elements of the tree. The idea with this thumbnail is that the magic coursing through the tree is causing the water around it to glow.
